ANKARA, February 21. /TASS/. Negotiations between Russia and Turkey over a likely purchase of S-400 missile systems proceed positively, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said during a visit to Northern Cyprus.
"The S-400 talks are going on positively," Cavusoglu said on the TPT television.
The head of the Rostec Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, said Turkey had taken interest in S-400 and talks on likely supplies were underway.
In November last year Turkish National Defense Minister Fikri Isik said Ankara was in talks with Moscow over the possibility of acquiring S-400, adding that his country was negotiating similar deals with other countries manufacturing such systems.
