Germany and France are currently main competitors to Russia in this sphere, according to the Russian President's aide on military-technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin
MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russia expects arms export will grow in recent years, the Russian President's aide on military-technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said on Monday.
The Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service analyzed the arms market in midterm and long term and concluded that growth of weapons manufacturing and trading is expected across the globe in the next five years, the official said.
"We also expect that export will grow. However, it will not take place automatically; there is a need to struggle for it," Kozhin said.
Russia’s arms export will hardly decline in the next two years, Kozhin said. Germany and France are main competitors to Russia in this sphere for the time being, he added.
