Third Russian missile ship leaves for Mediterranean over past few days

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. The Mirazh small missile-carrying ship of the Black Sea Fleet has left for the Mediterranean, where it will join Russia’s permanent naval task force, the fleet’s spokesman Nikolai Voznesensky has told the media.
"The small missile-carrying ship of the Black Sea Fleet, The Mirazh, has completed the preparatory procedures and left Sevastopol on a long Mediterranean voyage," Voznesensky said.
It is expected to pass through the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles and enter the Mediterranean tomorrow.
On Wednesday, October 5, it was announced that the Russian Navy’s task force in the Mediterranean would incorporate the missile carrying ships The Serpukhov and the Zelyony Dol, armed with Kalibr cruise missiles. Both used the missiles against terrorist targets in Syria in the middle of last August. The ships left Sevastopol on Tuesday and passed through the Black Sea straits on Wednesday.
