A Russian Sukhoi Su-27 fighter plane crashed in the Pushkino district of the Moscow Region on Thursday morning. The warplane crashed in the forest some 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the village of Muranovo. Russia’s Defense Ministry has officially confirmed the plane’s crash and the pilot’s death. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a technical failure may have caused the crash. The pilot performed all the necessary operations to divert the plane from a populated area adn had no time to eject.
