Russian peacekeepers on alert as part of snap drills

The large-scale exercises will end April 1

SAMARA, March 28. /TASS/. Russian peacekeepers were put on alert as part of a surprise combat readiness check, the press service of the Central Military District reported.

"The separate peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District, deployed in the Samara Region, has been put on alert as part of a snap check of combat readiness. The brigade’s units are currently marching toward the designated areas of the Roshchinsky range, where they will take part in bilateral drills with live firing," the press service said.

The large-scale exercises will end April 1.
