DUBAI, November 9. /TASS/. Russia has been conducting proactive policies with the aim to regain its original foothold on the world market of small arms, the head of the state-run corporation Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, has said.
"Sanctions have forced us out of the US market of hunting weapons. The fire arms legislation there is very simple and the market is vast, indeed. We’ve lost it," Chemezov at the international air and space show in Dubai (Dubai Airshow-2015).
Russia is actively cooperating in this field with countries in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
"We have been very active in Latin America and Southeast Asia. We offer many models (of new weapons). Kalashnikov has doubled production," Chemezov said.
