Production of Svarog 20 V2 cargo drone is almost 100% localized — developer
Russian specialists have developed a version of the craft that consists entirely of Russian-made components, including the frame, motor, flight controller, anti-jamming antenna and batteries
MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. The production of Russia’s Svarog 20 V2 cargo drone with a payload capacity of up to 20 kg is now nearly 100% localized, a spokesman for the Svarog Research and Production Center told TASS.
"We have completed work on localizing the domestic Svarog 20 V2 digital cargo drone. Our specialists have developed a version of the craft that consists entirely of Russian-made components, including the frame, motor, flight controller, anti-jamming antenna, and batteries. We are currently working on developing our own remote control unit and camera," the center said.
The Svarog 20 V2 cargo drone has an operational range of up to 20 km. "The unmanned aerial vehicle is operated via a remote control with a built-in screen, and communication is maintained via two digital and analog channels, with a CRPA (Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna) providing enhanced protection against interference. For surveillance and reconnaissance, the drone is equipped with an onboard daylight camera and a thermal imager," the company added.
The Svarog Research and Production Center noted that the platform is powered by two 84,000 mAh batteries. "These batteries, which we manufacture ourselves, are designed specifically for cargo drones, which have high energy requirements," the company said.
