MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. The equipment of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) troops has undergone significant improvements over the past year, with new body armor and helmets now in use, commander of the Order of Zhukov Operational Brigade of the Russian National Guard Central District, Hero of Russia Major General Sergey Khairudinov, said in an interview with TASS.

"The equipment has improved significantly. Just last year, virtually all operational units were equipped with new body armor – we received new body armor and new protective helmets, all of which are used both in the special military operation zone and in other areas where we carry out our missions," he said, noting that the troops have responded positively to these changes.

"The level of protection allows us to carry out our assigned tasks," Khairudinov added. He noted that "100 percent of the personnel, both at their permanent and temporary deployment sites, are provided with individual first-aid kits and body armor, and even special fragment-proof vests designed for carrying out specific missions."
