The combat trainer is upgraded with the new KSS-130 communications suite, which enables it to relay tactical information to other aircraft and ground command posts in real time
MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. The modernized Yak-130M combat training aircraft, fitted with the new KSS-130 communications system for tactical data exchange with other aircraft, has joined a distributed combat network, Russia’s state tech corporation Rostec said.
"One of the main upgrades in our United Aircraft Corporation’s (UAC) modernized Yak-130M combat trainer is the new KSS-130 communications suite, which will enable the aircraft to relay tactical information to other aircraft and ground command posts in real time," the state corporation said.
It noted that integrating the system will make the Yak-130M part of a unified combat operations command and control network. "The aircraft is evolving from a standalone unit into a component of a distributed combat network, which is one of the key requirements for modern military conflicts," Rostec added.
