Depesha robot turns ‘deadly mission’ into routine work in special op — Rostec
The ground robotic system can haul about 100 kilograms of cargo over a distance of more than 20 kilometers
MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. The risky evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of cargo during combat operations have become safer thanks to the Depesha ground robotic system developed by the High Precision Systems Holding Company (part of Rostec), the state corporation reported.
"The Depesha platform reduces risks to personnel. This robot is a true, highly maneuverable ‘unmanned taxi’ for ammunition and other cargo. It forges its own path even on broken roads and can haul about 100 kilograms of cargo over a distance of more than 20 kilometers. On the return trip, the vehicle is capable of evacuating a wounded person from under fire, either by carrying them directly or using an evacuation sling. The Depesha turns logistical support from a deadly mission into routine operations," the statement reads.
Rostec noted that this ground drone is also suitable for reconnaissance missions.
The Depesha was designed as a multifunctional system that can be adapted to various tasks thanks to its modular design. It can transport cargo, ammunition, provisions, and other supplies to the front, as well as evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. It is an independently sprung platform with enhanced maneuverability that can develop speeds of up to 30 km/h.
