The system can be deployed in both field and urban environments, Rosoboronexport said

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Rosoboronexport state arms exporter (part of the Rostec state corporation) is launching the Nerekhta-E ground robotic system, which can be used in both field and urban environments, onto the global market, the company reported.

"Rosoboronexport (part of the state corporation Rostec) is introducing the Nerekhta-E ground robotic system, developed and manufactured by the V.A. Degtyarev Plant, to the international market. "The system is designed to increase the effectiveness of combat missions and reduce personnel losses among frontline and reconnaissance units during combined-arms and counterterrorism operations. The system can be deployed in both field and urban environments," Rosoboronexport stated.

The company noted that the new ground robotic system’s armament allows it to engage ground and air targets, including armored vehicles, personnel, reinforced implacements, enemy air defense systems, aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev noted that the Nerekhta-E system was designed with modern combat concepts in mind, emphasizing reduced risks for operators, network-centricity, and the use of artificial intelligence. "The system has a number of unique advantages that have been proven in real-world conditions. First and foremost, these are modularity and versatility: depending on tactical requirements, the robot can be equipped with small-arms and grenade launcher modules or anti-tank weapons, and can perform tasks such as transporting the wounded or cargo weighing up to one metric ton," he said.

Rosoboronexport noted that the robot has an armored hull mounted on tracked chassis, and is equipped with a hybrid engine that allows it to reach a maximum speed of 20 km/h. The system can operate continuously for four hours while in motion, and in surveillance mode, it can operate for up to 20 hours.
