Russian forces strike enemy radars in Poltava, Odessa regions, data centers across Ukraine

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukrainian radar systems in the Poltava and Odessa Regions, using Geran drones, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported, releasing the relevant footage.
In addition, Geran crews of the Varyag Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade hit four data centers across Ukraine.

Statement from top brass
- The Russian Armed Forces continued to carry out strikes targeting Ukrainian logistics hubs, transport facilities and port infrastructure as well as sea vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian army last night, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday morning.
Aerial targets
- In the Odessa Region, a rocket and missile depot was hit in the settlement of Ilyichevka as a result.
- Also, Russian forces struck a bulk carrier that had delivered dual-use supplies for the Ukrainian army at the port of Chernomorsk.
- At the port of Izmail, mooring facilities used for the unloading and storage of military cargo were hit.
- Russian forces have struck Ukrainian radar systems in Mirgorod in the Poltava Region and Kagarlyk in the Odessa Region with Geran drones, Russia’s Defense Ministry said, releasing the relevant footage.
- Also, Russian combat aircraft destroyed a temporary deployment site of a formation of the Ukrainian National Guard’s 15th operational response brigade near the settlement of Svyatogorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
- In addition, an interceptor drone operator of the Varyag Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade hit a Ukrainian army aerostat that had carried an UAV with an attached Starlink module at an altitude of more than 10,000 meters.
- Later, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Geran drone crews from the Varyag Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade struck Parkovy, Ukrtelecom, Giga and Podolsky data centers in a number of Ukrainian cities.
Situation in Ukraine
- A bridge across the Dnieper River in the Ukrainian-controlled city of Zaporozhye was damaged by an explosion, acting head of the region’s military administration, appointed by Kiev, Mikhail Semikin wrote on his Telegram channel.
- Major traffic jams were reported again on motor roads leading to bridges across the Dnieper in Kiev, Novyny. Live reported.
- The news website did not say what caused the traffic jams.
- A similar situation with Kiev traffic was reported by the Ukrainian news outlet Strana on Monday.
- Kiev residents have been fleeing the Ukrainian capital en masse amid Russian strikes on bridges across the Dnieper River, according to Anna Skorokhod, a Verkhovna Rada member.
- The Kiev-based Omega Telecom data center has closed due to damage, the facility said on its page on Facebook (banned in Russia; belongs to Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).
