LUGANSK, October 3. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces have begun deploying laser systems to counter Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), while interceptor drones and electronic warfare systems are also being used against them, military expert Andrey Marochko said during a live broadcast on his VKontakte social media page.

"In addition to mobile fire groups, advanced electronic warfare systems are being deployed, along with laser systems - albeit in limited numbers - designed specifically to target jet-powered drones. We also have interceptor drones capable of bringing down Ukrainian UAVs. There are drones that hunt other UAVs of the same class, including fixed-wing drones designed to intercept Ukrainian drones," the expert said.

Marochko also claimed that the Russian Armed Forces have surpassed the Ukrainian military in both the number of long-range UAVs launched and the effectiveness of their strikes.
