MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry reported fighting and territorial gains in the Kharkov Region and Dobropolye, as well as Ukrainian losses and Russian strikes over the past day.

TASS has compiled the ministry’s key statements.

Operations in Kharkov Region

"Enemy formations are being destroyed near Nikolayevka, Nefyodovka, Kupino and Chernoye in the Kharkov Region," the ministry stated.

Battlegroup North troops continue active fighting to liberate Prikolotnoye and Sosnovy Bor.

"Fighting is underway within the encirclement to liberate the settlements of Varvarovka, Lobanovka, and Reznikovo in the Kharkov Region," the Defense Ministry said.

"Ukrainian army losses within the encirclement over the past day included up to 35 personnel and one armored combat vehicle."

Russian troops from the Battlegroup North took control of Novaya Kazachya: "In addition, active offensive operations resulted in establishing control over the settlement of Novaya Kazachya in the Kharkov Region."

Fighting in Dobropolye

"Over the past day, 70 buildings were liberated and more than 20 Ukrainian troops were eliminated," the ministry reported.

"In Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, assault groups of the 51st Army, together with marine infantry units, conducted offensive operations in the northwestern, eastern and central parts of the city. Units of the 76th Air Assault Division, advancing west of Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, destroyed an enemy position and took control of a section of a forest belt," the ministry said.

Ukrainian troop losses

Ukraine lost approximately 1,325 troops over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian military operations in the special military operation zone.

Ukrainian forces lost more than 250 personnel in the Battlegroup North area of responsibility, over 220 in operations by the Battlegroup West and more than 195 in clashes with the Battlegroup South. They lost up to 385 personnel in clashes with the Battlegroup Center, more than 240 in fighting involving the Battlegroup East and over 35 in clashes with the Battlegroup Dnepr.

Strikes, air defense

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of Russian battlegroups struck unmanned aerial vehicle storage sites, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 149 areas," the ministry reported.

"Air defenses shot down six guided aerial bombs and 680 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry added.
