Skat-350M UAV suitable for missions in Caspian Sea — Kalashnikov
Kalashnikov’s product is distinguished by its high wind resistance
MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russia’s all-weather, high-altitude Skat-350M reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is suitable for missions in the Caspian Sea, noted military personnel and experts visiting the Kalashnikov Group’s booth at the 6th ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition, the company told TASS.
The exhibition is being held from September 30 to October 2 in Baku.
"The thing is that Kalashnikov’s product is distinguished by its high wind resistance – up to 20 m/s in flight. The drone has proven effective in maritime regions with hot and humid climates," the company said, adding that the drone is suitable for missions in the Caspian Sea. The Skat is ready to carry out monitoring missions for extensive oil and gas facilities."
The 30x optical zoom allows for the observation and tracking of maritime targets from an altitude of up to 5,500 meters within a radio signal range of up to 100 km.
Kalashnikov noted that the Skat-350M has proven its effectiveness in missions conducted in nature reserves. Its optical navigation system allows it to determine its position relative to the terrain and return to its launch point without operator assistance, even in the absence of a satellite communication system.
