MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russia will start developing families of new-generation tanks tailored specifically to modern forms and methods of combat, Ground Forces Commander-in-Chief, Hero of Russia Colonel General Andrey Mordvichev said.
"With the development of weapons systems, as well as forms and methods of warfare, there is a need to improve the organizational structure of tank units and boost their combat capabilities. All of this will be achieved through the development of families of next-generation tank models capable of reliable performance in various geographical and climatic conditions," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
