Russia’s Kub loitering munition tested in mountainous terrain — Kalashnikov

The munitions were launched at altitudes exceeding 1,500 meters
MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. The KUB-2-E and KUB-10ME loitering munitions have been tested in mountainous terrain, Alexander Likhachev, director of the Kalashnikov Group’s UAV division, told TASS on the sidelines of the 6th ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition, which is taking place in Baku from September 30 to October 2, 2026.
"The KUB-2-E and KUB-10ME guided loitering munitions have successfully passed tests in mid-mountain conditions. Their high operational and combat performance has been confirmed. The munitions were launched at altitudes exceeding 1,500 meters," he said.
In the near future, tests of Kalashnikov’s loitering munitions are planned in high-altitude environments at elevations of up to 4,500 meters.
