Skat-350M UAV has significant upgrade potential — Kalashnikov

PRETORIA, September 18. /TASS/. Russia’s leading unmanned reconnaissance system, the Skat-350M, has considerable potential for modernization and is continuously being improved based on the results of its use in the special military operation in Ukraine, Director of the Kalashnikov Group Division for the Export of Drones and Loitering Munitions Leonid Rokeakh told TASS at the Africa Aerospace and Defense (AAD) exhibition in South Africa.
"In 2025 alone, the Skat-350M underwent more than 40 modifications. The system has proven highly successful. We are constantly working to improve it. We are in constant contact with troops on the line of contact and receive feedback from them, which helps us understand what needs to be improved or refined. The Skat-350M is constantly evolving and has great potential for modernization. We will soon reveal the drone’s new capabilities," said Rokeakh.
As part of Rosoboronexport’s joint exhibit in South Africa, Kalashnikov showcased a system that includes the Skat-350M reconnaissance drone and the Kub-2ME loitering munition. The company is also demonstrating its latest reconnaissance and strike system featuring the Rus-PE guided munition.
The Africa Aerospace and Defense international exhibition is taking place from September 16 to 20 in Pretoria at the Waterkloof Centurion Air Force Base.
