Air Force commander highlights importance of recon and strike systems
Sergey Kobylash noted that during the special military operation, modern aircraft technology had proven itself "as a highly effective tool for solving operational and tactical tasks"
MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. Reconnaissance-strike systems, combining reconnaissance assets with strike capabilities, are being developed in response to the need to strike enemy targets in real time, Air Force Commander, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergey Kobylash stated.
"In a rapidly changing battlefield environment, striking enemy targets in real time becomes particularly critical, which is why reconnaissance and strike systems - combining reconnaissance assets with strike capabilities - are being developed," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on the occasion of the Air Force’s 114th anniversary.
Kobylash noted that during the special military operation, modern aircraft technology has proven itself "as a highly effective tool for solving operational and tactical tasks."
Among these tasks, he highlighted striking critical enemy infrastructure with high-precision weapons, providing support to ground units, conducting aerial reconnaissance, ensuring air superiority, and protecting troop formations from air attacks. He also noted that the role of aviation in countering unmanned aerial vehicles is growing.
