MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. Air Force aircrews train on special simulators that use special military operation scenarios, Russian Air Force Commander Colonel General Sergey Kobylash stated.

"Mission training is conducted on modern, special comprehensive simulators developed based on the special military operation experience, which allow pilots to practice all stages of combat and special missions, including complex elements such as, for example, in-flight refueling, actions in special situations involving equipment failures, as well as aircraft wings’ formation flights," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

In addition, the commander noted that interactive automated training systems and simulation complexes are being introduced to improve the level of theoretical training for personnel. "New information display systems based on modern information technologies are being used, including those utilizing artificial intelligence and augmented reality," he noted.

"Modern training tools make it possible to shorten training times and improve the quality of personnel training," Kobylash added.

Every year on August 12, the Russian Federation celebrates Air Force Day. Since 2015, the Air Force has operated as a key component of the unified Russian Aerospace Forces.
