The fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jets are currently unmatched anywhere in the world and are a key element in achieving air superiority for the Russian Air Force, Russian Air Force Commander, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergey Kobylash stated.

"The key element in achieving air superiority is the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet, which is unparalleled in mass production among modern global aircraft manufacturers," he noted in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on the occasion of the Air Force’s 114th anniversary.

Speaking about the Air Force’s fleet, Kobylash noted that the "4++" generation multi-role fighters Su-35S and Su-30SM, as well as the Su-34M bombers perform ground support missions. He added that strategic deterrence, as well as the destruction of critical enemy targets deep within enemy territory, is ensured by long-range aviation forces featuring the Tupolev Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3 missile-carrying aircraft and bombers, armed with both special and conventional long-range, high-precision weapons.
