The crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces delivered strikes against Ukrainian temporary deployment sites and drone control centers in the DPR, the Kharkov and Sumy Regions, the Defense Ministry reported

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces carried out a coordinated overnight strike targeting defense industry facilities and transport and logistics centers in Kiev and Zaporozhye, the Defense Ministry reported.

TASS has compiled the main information about the attack’s aftermath.

Defense Ministry’s statement

- The Russian Armed Forces carried out a coordinated overnight strike using ground-based precision-guided weapons, resulting in the destruction of military-industrial facilities and transport and logistics centers in the cities of Kiev and Zaporozhye, the military said in a statement.

Facilities struck

- The ministry later revealed in another statement that the targets of the overnight strike were successfully hit.

- The Russian Armed Forces struck a Nova Post logistics terminal in Kiev, an automated compound storing and distributing dual-use goods, including components for long- and medium-range UAV production, robotic vehicles and electronic warfare systems.

- Russian servicemen also hit the Kiev-3 transport and logistics center, also known as San-park, a large warehouse facility of approximately 50,000 square meters that stored up to 15,000 attack FPV drones, including those equipped with thermal imaging cameras, such as Beshket, Spuk, Komik-A, and Gorobets, as well as ground control stations and related components.

- The Russian Armed Forces struck the Zaporozhstal steel mill (PJSC Zaporizhstal), a part of the Metinvest Group.

- It is a leading manufacturer of rolled sheet steel, which serves as the basis for creating protective structures, fortification modules, armor for military vehicles, and body armor plates.

- In addition, protective screens against FPV drone strikes were being installed on heavy armored vehicles on the plant’s premises.

Russian Aerospace Forces’ strikes

- The crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces delivered strikes against Ukrainian temporary deployment sites and drone control centers in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Kharkov and Sumy Regions, the Defense Ministry noted.

- The strikes were carried out using FAB-250 aerial bombs equipped with a universal gliding and correction module and LMUR air-launched missiles.

- According to the ministry’s statement, Russian forces struck a temporary deployment site of Ukraine’s 63rd separate brigade near the settlement of Donetskoye in the DPR, a temporary deployment site of the 104th separate territorial defense brigade near the Boldyrevka settlement in the Kharkov Region, as well as a drone control center of the 119th separate territorial defense brigade in the Porozok settlement in the Sumy Region.

Situation in Ukraine

- The Kiev-controlled part of Zaporozhye is experiencing power outages due to earlier explosions, regional administration head Ivan Fyodorov reported on his Telegram channel.

- According to the official, several fires broke out in the city.

- A large fire engulfed Kiev warehouses after the explosions, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service said.

- According to its information, the fire was contained within an area of 1,200 square meters.

- Warehouses in the Kiev region were damaged, the regional administration reported on its Telegram.

- According to its information, the damaged warehouses were located in the Bucha district.
