MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. The Kalashnikov Group will present the Legioner (Legionnaire) G29s, a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) adapted for flight in Arctic conditions, at the Arctic – Regions Forum in Arkhangelsk, the company’s press service reported.

"Kalashnikov will present the Legioner UAV, adapted for navigation in Arctic conditions, at the Arctic – Regions Forum. The Legioner G29s UAV is designed for terrain remote sensing, aerial monitoring, delivery of small cargo, and ice reconnaissance. The UAV has a maximum range of 550 km and mission endurance of over 5 hours," the company stated.

According to the Kalashnikov Group, the Legioner drone can operate at temperatures ranging from minus 25 to plus 35 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of up to 15 m/s, and with a payload capacity of up to 4 kg. The deployment time for the drone is 15 minutes.

Depending on customer needs, the Legioner can be supplied in either a basic configuration or with additional payloads. Operators in the country’s northern regions will be offered the drone models with a gasoline cruise engine, which is more efficient in sub-zero temperatures.

The forum will be held in Arkhangelsk on August 13-14.
