Russia proposes to halt shelling of Konstantinovka on July 6 to hand over troops' bodies

The ministry noted that the Ukrainian side should inform the Russian command of its decision via existing intelligence service channels by 12:00 p.m. Moscow time (9:00 a.m. GMT) on July 5, 2026

MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. Russia is proposing to Ukraine a local ceasefire in Konstantinovka from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. GMT on July 6, so that Moscow can hand over the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen killed in action, should Kiev want this, the Defense Ministry stated.

"In connection with the liberation of the city of Konstantinovka by Russian troops and the establishment of our full control over it, the Russian side is ready to carry out a humanitarian operation to hand over the bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen. To this end, it is proposed that the Ukrainian side cease shelling the city of Konstantinovka from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Moscow time on July 6, 2026," the statement said.
