MOSCOW, May 17. /TASS/. Thirty-six Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian regions and the Azov Sea in seven hours on Sunday, the Russian defense ministry said.

"From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Moscow time (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. GMT) on May 17, 2026, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyer 36 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over Crimea, the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Novgorod, Rostov, Smolensk, Moscow, and Krasnodar Regions, and the Azov Sea," it said.
