KUALA LUMPUR, April 21. /TASS/. The training program for operators of the Orlan series of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is being demonstrated for the first time at the Special Technology Center (STC) booth at the Defense Services Asia (DSA) international exhibition of arms and military equipment in Malaysia, the company spokesperson told TASS.

"At the STC booth, visitors to the DSA exhibition in Malaysia will for the first time be given the opportunity to work with the Orlan UAV operator training program, which allows them to learn the assembly, launch, and maintenance procedures without direct contact with the equipment. Using the program, one can assemble the Orlan launcher, prepare it, and launch the aircraft virtually. At the exhibition, we demonstrate that there is a certain set of capabilities that allow one to master this technology without wasting its operational resources," he said.

STC products are being showcased as part of the joint Russian exhibit of the arms exporter Rosoboronexport (part of the state tech corporation Rostec). The event also features the Orlan-10, an advanced unmanned reconnaissance system.

The DSA exhibition is taking place from April 20-23 in Kuala Lumpur.
