MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russia has developed the Storm flying wing drone for airborne reconnaissance; and the first 200 drones have been handed over to the Russian military, the All-Russia People’s Front, whose Kulibin Club is supporting the developers, told TASS.

"The Storm flying wing is used for airborne reconnaissance, target designation, and situational awareness. In addition to various camera modifications, this aircraft can carry additional equipment, such as repeaters. More than 200 aircraft have been delivered to the troops. The feedback from our specialists has been extremely positive. We promptly respond to their requests and make improvements," said project team head of the Gaskar company. He added that the company has also developed a cargo drone capable of transporting loads weighing up to 25 kilograms over distances of up to 20 kilometers. It is currently undergoing trials as a carrier of ammunition, provisions, medical aid, and other equipment.

"This unmanned aerial vehicle allows us to save the lives of our soldiers and conduct covert deliveries. It can also be used for military purposes, with special payloads attached to it," the project team head added, noting that the drone will utilize various systems to avoid enemy electronic warfare.

The Kulibin Club selects, tests, and supports the serial production of the best developments of the national engineers. Thanks to this initiative, thousands of innovative electronic warfare systems, quadcopters, self-propelled robotic vehicles, and other products have been deployed to the front.
