NBC defense troops cadets complete training in use of UAVs, ground-based systems
According to the Defense Ministry, training for operators of UAVs and ground-based robotic systems at military academies is conducted in accordance with the combat training plan and updated training programs
MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Cadets' combat and special training sessions for operating UAVs and ground-based robotic systems were held at the training ground of the Marshal Semyon Timoshenko Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Military Academy, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"During practical training, the personnel practiced using the Kuryer, Lyagushka, and ZOM ground-based robotic systems to deploy mobile aerosol screens and evacuate the ‘wounded,’ drop thermobaric munitions on simulated enemy armored targets from multicopter UAVs, and attack mock enemy dugouts with FPV drones," the ministry said.
According to the Defense Ministry, training for operators of UAVs and ground-based robotic systems at military academies is conducted in accordance with the combat training plan and updated training programs as part of a comprehensive modernization of military education, based on experience gained during the special military operation.
A distinctive feature of the educational process is that training sessions are held under the supervision of academy instructors, each of whom has acquired combat experience in the special military operation zone.
