LUGANSK, June 7. /TASS/. Russian forces advanced deeper into the Sumy Region in the past week, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.
"As for the Sumy Region, the rate of the advance was impressive in the past week. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of a number of settlements," he said.
Earlier, Marochko told TASS that the Russian army had penetrated 1.5 km deep into enemy defenses in some areas of the Sumy Region in the previous week.
On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of Battlegroup North had liberated the settlements of Alexeyevka, Andreyevka, Vodolagi, and Kondtratovka in the Sumy Region in the previous week.
