MURMANSK, March 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that every effort will be made to boost the country’s Navy during a meeting with the servicemen of the Arkhangelsk nuclear-powered submarine of the Yasen-M class (Project 885M).

"We think that the Navy is one of the main guarantees of the country’s security and the overall global strategic stability because we have a certain strategic balance with the US. We will treat it most carefully, will do everything in a timely manner," he said, replying to a question about the prospects of the Navy’s development.

The Russian leader added that the strategy of developing the Navy and shipbuilding until 2050 is in the works.
