THE HAGUE, March 6. /TASS/. The situation regarding the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine "raises serious concern," said Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW, Vladimir Tarabrin, during the 108th session of the organization's Executive Council. Russia's permanent mission has distributed his statement.

"We continue to document cases of Ukrainian nationalists using toxic chemicals and chemical warfare agents in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention," he stated. "Unfortunately, the OPCW’s Technical Secretariat does not respond to the information we provide, which leaves us perplexed," he added.

According to the diplomat, on the eve of the session, the Russian side provided new data on the use of listed chemicals and chemical riot control agents by the Ukrainian army, confirmed by analyses conducted in an OPCW-certified laboratory of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"We hope that the Technical Secretariat will finally turn its attention to these cases," Tarabrin said.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that over 400 instances of the use of non-lethal toxic chemicals by the Ukrainian side had been recorded during the special military operation, with the majority officially confirmed by relevant investigations.
