MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Russian servicemen have defeated formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"Units of Russia’s South battlegroup took more advantageous positions. They defeated formations of four mechanized, one airmobile, and two motorized infantry brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlements of Predtecheno, Shevchenko, Seversk, Markovo, Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Serebryanka and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 320 servicemen, four vehicles and five field artillery pieces, including a 155 mm FH-70 howitzer. Two ammunition warehouses were destroyed.
