Ukraine loses over 320 troops in Kursk Region in past day

MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lost over 320 servicemen over the day in the Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Over the day, Ukraine lost more than 320 servicemen, two tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, including a US-made Bradley, four armored personnel carriers, 13 armored fighting vehicles, 11 vehicles, six artillery pieces, five mortars, two MLRS launchers (BM-21 Grad and BM-27 Uragan), a German-made Pionierpanzer 2 engineering demolition vehicle, and three UAV control sites," the ministry said.

It also pointed out that units of the Battlegroup North defeated formations of a tank brigade, a heavy mechanized brigade, four mechanized brigades, two airborne assault brigades and three territorial defense brigades near Gogolevka, Zaoleshenka, Kazachya Loknya, Kolmaky, Lebedevka, Malaya Loknya, Mirny, Nikolsky, Sverdlikovo, Sudja and Yuzhny in the Kursk Region. One enemy counterattack was repulsed.

In addition, operational-tactical and army aircraft strikes and artillery fire hit enemy personnel and equipment near the settlements of Viktorovka, Guyevo, Dmitriukov, Zamostye, 1st Knyazhy, Kositsa, Kruglenkoye, Kurilovka, Loknya, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Makhnovka, Melovoy, Novaya Sorochyna, Rubanshchina, Staraya Sorochyna, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, as well as Basovka, Belovody, Veselovka, Zhuravka, Yunakovka and Yablonovka in the Sumy Region.
