Online platform for sales of drones, spare parts launched in Russia in test mode
The platform will offer propellers, frames, engines, communication systems, the head of the United Russia party’s central executive committee Alexander Sidyakin said
MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. An online platform for drones and their spare parts has been launched in Russia by the ruling United Russia party, Promsvyazbank lender and the Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies, the center has told TASS.
The platform is now operating in the test mode.
"We have launched a ‘military marketplace,’ where a military official just needs to authorize, undergo a two-factor authentication and put the necessary items into his online ‘shopping basket,’" the head of the United Russia party’s central executive committee Alexander Sidyakin was quoted as saying.
In his words, the platform will offer "propellers, frames, engines, communication systems and so on - everything that is needed for assembling an unmanned aerial vehicle."
"Today we launched it for the first time after tests," he added.
In his words, personal data is protected and "no outsider will be able to gain access" to the portal.
"Surely, the defense ministry’s financial structures are integrated into the process," Sidyakin added.
The head of the Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies, Andrey Bezrukov, told TASS that unmanned aerial vehicles and anti-drone equipment can be manufactured near the frontline.
"Military units that cooperate with us often ask us to provide them not only with assembled drones, but with spare parts as well," Bezrukov said. "The online platform that we had launched will help to deliver them to the frontline, where they can be turned into powerful weapons.".
