MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The Arkhangelsk Project 885M nuclear submarine and the Knyaz Pozharsky Project 955A strategic nuclear submarine cruiser, built at the Sevmash enterprise, will join the Russian Navy soon, Navy Commander Admiral Alexander Moiseyev said, according to the Defense Ministry
"Soon, the Navy will receive the Arkhangelsk cruiser. The Knyaz Pozharsky nuclear submarine cruiser currently undergoes trials and will also join our submarine forces soon," Moiseyev said during the trip to Severodvinsk.
The Navy commander noted that the construction of nuclear submarines is Sevmash’s main purpose, which is performs successfully.
"This purpose is dictated by the need to have efficient and modern weapons, and strategic and multipurpose nuclear submarines carry such weapons precisely," Moiseyev underscored.
