MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Battle-tested Supercam S350 scout drone will be for the first time displayed in Southeast Asia at Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 show to be held on December 19-20 in Hanoi, the Unmanned Systems Company said.

"Supercam S350 can serve Vietnamese partners in the defense and civilian spheres for the protection of state borders, patrols in the South China Sea, public and fire security, monitoring of oil and gas infrastructure," it said.

The drone is resistant to bad weather, high humidity and temperatures (up to plus 45 degrees). It does not need a runway and additional infrastructure, which is important for Vietnamese mountains and forests. "The drone can fulfil the same missions in all countries of Southeast Asia, with which Russia cooperates in the military and economic fields," it said.

The fixed-wing drone with protected communication channels and high jam-resistance confirmed effectiveness in Syria and Ukraine.

"Supercam S350 helps reconnaissance units and infantry, accompanies assault groups, transmits target coordinates and adjusts artillery and multiple rocket fire," the designer company said.

The operator stays dozens kilometers from the frontline and detects targets and determines coordinates of ammunition depots, manpower and armor accumulations. The drone is integrated with decision-making system and fire controls and increases combat engagement effectiveness.

"Complex operation of the drone with artillery guns and MLRS accelerates target detection - decision-making - strike at target process," it said.

Supercam is operated by two men. It takes 15 minutes to prepare it for the launch. An elastic catapult provides the takeoff boost to the electrically-driven drone. Supercam can operate in jamming conditions, as it is equipped with electronic warfare protection means. The vehicle silently flies at an altitude of two kilometers and is difficult to detect. It transmits reconnaissance data to the command post in real time. Flight endurance is six hours. The drone lands on a parachute.
