Russia’s naval nuclear forces fully modernized, says Navy Chief
Admiral Alexander Moiseyev emphasized that the condition and combat readiness of Russia's modernized naval strategic nuclear forces are at an exceptional level
ST. PETERSBURG, December 12. /TASS/. Russia's strategic naval nuclear forces have been completely upgraded, and this modernization remains a key priority for the country, Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev announced.
"Russia's strategic naval nuclear forces have been completely upgraded. This remains a critical priority for our country. Nuclear forces have been and will continue to serve as a security guarantee for our nation at the international level," the admiral said at the plenary session of the 14th Arctic: Today and the Future international forum.
The commander emphasized that the condition and combat readiness of Russia's modernized naval strategic nuclear forces are at an exceptional level. According to the admiral, the presence of such a powerful force in the region should "enhance the sense of responsibility among all countries in the Arctic, primarily those who seek to escalate tensions in the region."
Moiseyev highlighted that NATO countries had altered their approach to drills in the Arctic, now conducting offensive rather than defensive exercises.
