Niger receives delivery of military equipment from Russia — TV

NAIROBI, November 29. /TASS/. A shipment of Russian military equipment has been delivered to Niger, the local RTN TV channel reported.
According to reports, Niger has received a consignment of military equipment from Russia through the Ministry of Defense. It was transported by a Russian An-124 aircraft and received by the head of the logistics office of the Niger General Staff, in the presence of the country’s military commanders.
The report also stated that this delivery highlights the strengthening of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Niger. It will allow Niger to secure its rear and strengthen its offensive on the frontlines to ultimately address the problem of terrorism in the country.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated during a meeting with his Nigerien counterpart, Bakary Yaou Sangare, that Moscow is working to return its embassy to Niger's capital, Niamey, and this will take place in the near future.
