BEIJING, November 29. /TASS/. Official contacts between Russia and North Korea are the business of the two sovereign countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a briefing, commenting on the visit of Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov to North Korea.

"Russia and North Korea are sovereign and independent countries, and bilateral exchanges between them are their own business," Mao Ning said. She also stated that she was not aware of the details of Belousov's visit and reiterated that China's position on the Ukrainian crisis remains consistent.

Belousov arrived in North Korea on Friday. He is scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the republic's military and political leadership.
