MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Foreign and Defense ministers and secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) made decisions aimed at further expanding the allied relations and discussed the military-political situation in the area of responsibility at an organization's meeting in Astana, CSTO reported on its Telegram channel.

The meeting was also attended by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and Chief of CSTO Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov. The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the military-political situation in the collective security regions, reviewed cooperation, and discussed the prospects for the collective security system development," the report reads.

"Special attention was given to the preparations for the joint celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War," the organization noted.

Russia's Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended the meeting on the Russian side.

Following the joint meeting, an extensive package of other agreements was signed. It included over 17 draft decisions, including the CSTO Collective Security Council decision on further strengthening allied relations within the CSTO and on a number of military issues.
