Kursk Region’s newspaper editor-in-chief killed in Ukrainian drone attack on her car
Apart from that, in his words, a newspaper employee and a police officer received wounds
KURSK, November 17. /TASS/. Narodnaya Gazeta (Popular Newspaper) editor-in-chief Yulia Kuznetsova died after a Ukrainian drone attack on her car in the borderline Kursk Region, the region’s governor, Alexey Smirnov said.
"Today, editor-in-chief of the local Narodanaya Gazeta Yulia Kuznetsova died as a result of an attack of a Ukrainian drone on her car. She was carrying the editorial desk’s archives and planned to issue a new publication about the situation in the region," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Apart from that, in his words, a newspaper employee and a police officer received wounds.
Russia’s borderline Kursk Region came under a massive attack from Ukraine on August 6. A federal state of emergency is in effect in the region. People are being evacuated from border areas.
According to the Russian defense ministry, Kiev’s overall losses in the Kursk Region stand at over 33,200 troops and 213 tanks. Russian forces continue operations to eliminate Ukrainian troops.
