Russia for the first time displays Su-57 jet at China show

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russia for the first time displays the export option of Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jet abroad at the Airshow China in Zhuhai. Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov believes it will impress visitors and specialists.
"Su-57 is the only fifth-generation fighter jet that has confirmed its breakthrough characteristics in all combat engagement options. The fighter jet is distinguished by a high survivability due a low signature and modern onboard defense complex. The aircraft will continue to be upgraded according to combat engagement experience. Su-57 together with Su-34 and Su-35S are the wings of our victory. I am sure the debut of Su-57 export option in Zhuhai will be worthily assessed by foreign colleagues," he said.
Su-57 will demonstrate aerobatics at the show.
Su-57 multirole fifth-generation fighter jet was designed to destroy all air, ground, and water surface targets, monitor the airspace at major distances from deployment bases, make adversary headquarters, command posts and control systems inoperative. The jet can engage a broad range of guided and unguided weapons, including air-to-air short, medium and long-range missiles, smart 250, 500 and 1500 kg bombs (the latter from outside suspension). Maximum combat payload is 10 tons. The aircraft stealth characteristics are boosted by the construction shape, as well as reflecting and absorbing coating materials and electronic warfare means. Some weapons are hidden inside the aircraft to decrease signature. The measures weaken the reflected signal and deviate it from the source. Adversary radar does not receive the information on the location and speed of the aircraft. Low signature in the optical band is ensured by digital (pixel) camouflage painting of the aircraft.
