BUDAPEST, November 8. /TASS/. The European Union must achieve unity among its member states to survive, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said upon his arrival at the informal EU summit in Budapest.

"The only solution for Europe's survival is unity," he stated.

According to Borrell, the EU must develop its own capabilities, including in defense.

"We would not be able to do this if we are divided. The EU’s mission is to shape the European Union into a force that is capable of action," he added.
