CSTO Secretary General warns of risks of political destabilization via Internet

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) points out the risk of Internet being used for destabilization of the situation in various countries, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov said during the meeting of Security Council Secretaries in Moscow.
"The mass production and the absence of clear regulations for the use of deadly autonomous weapon systems, capable of hitting targets on the ground, in the air and in water without human participation," he listed. "The active use of the Internet for disruption of internal political stability, damaging economic, military and other interests of other countries, the intensification of space military activity."
The Secretary General also noted that such challenges to international stability as rapidly growing utilization of AI for military purposes continue to intensify.
According to the official, the CSTO takes measures to preserve stability in Eurasia and to ensure the security of CSTO member states.
