Two Olkha projectiles shot down over Belgorod Region — defense ministry
A woman was hurt in the city of Shebekino after Ukraine’s missile attack
MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems shot down two Olkha projectiles over the Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine, the Russian defense ministry said.
"At about 4:30 p.m. Moscow time (1:30 p.m. GMT) on May 26, the Kiev regime’s attempted terrorist attack on facilities in Russia’s territory with the use of an Olkha multiple launch missile system was thwarted. Russian air defense systems destroyed two Ukrainian Olkha MLRS projectiles over the Belgorod Region," it said.
A woman was hurt in the city of Shebekino after Ukraine’s missile attack, the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said.
"Our defense system operated over the Shebekino municipal district - to Olkha MLRS projectiles approaching the city were shot down. According to preliminary data, a woman was hurt. She was taken to hospital," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Apart from that, according to Gladkov, twenty single-family houses, nine passenger cars, water, gas and power supply lines were damaged in the village of Rzhevka after Ukraine’s air attack.
