SOCHI, April 16. /TASS/. Russia and Belarus are being bombarded by information attacks daily, with technology also playing a major role in the preparation of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack, Belarusian Permanent Representative to the CSTO Alexander Grinevich said.
He pointed out that law enforcement in Belarus and Russia "record information attacks 24/7." "The materials available for investigation confirm the active use of information and communication technologies in the preparation and execution of the heinous terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in the suburbs of Moscow," Grinevich said, speaking at the 2024 Infoforum-Sochi.
"The use of information and communication technologies for aggressive and other destructive purposes to interfere in the internal affairs of states, undermine their sovereignty and violate their territorial integrity is growing. This could lead to the emergence and escalation of interstate conflicts, in turn posing a threat to international peace, security and stability," the envoy said.
