VIENNA, April 9. /TASS/. An extraordinary meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors may be convened on April 11 in connection with the shelling of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant’s shelling, Russian Permanent Envoy to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said.
"According to the latest preliminary information, an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on the dangerous escalation of the situation on the Zaporozhye NPP may be convened on Thursday," the diplomat wrote on his Telegram channel.
On April 7, the Ukrainian military conducted three attacks on the ZNPP, using drones. First, an area adjacent to the canteen on the premises of the nuclear facility was attacked, with three employees being wounded. Another drone hit the sixth power unit of the ZNPP. On April 8, another Ukrainian kamikaze drone was downed over the nuke plant, and its debris fell on the roof of the same power unit. On April 9, the plant’s press service reported that Ukrainian forces attacked a building housing the world's only full-scale reactor hall simulator.
