Floating 57mm Derivatsia-PVO 2S38 is mounted on BMP-3 undercarriage and can fire controlled-detonation shells at air targets

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Rostec is working to accelerate the delivery of the latest Derivatsia-PVO air defense complexes to the frontline, Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Weapon Systems at Rostec State Corporation, said in an interview with TASS.

"Last year we completed the design of 152mm Malva wheeled gun, 82mm Drok self-propelled mortar, 57mm Derivatsia-PVO air defense gun. The hardware enjoys advanced combat qualities and properly protects the crew. It is badly needed in the zone of the special military operation. We realize that and are working to implement the task as soon as possible," he said.

Floating 57mm Derivatsia-PVO 2S38 is equipped with fire controls. It is mounted on BMP-3 undercarriage and can fire controlled-detonation shells at air targets. It mostly fights drones and cruise missiles in the close zone and can also destroy ground targets. The 21.5-ton vehicle has the maximum firing distance of 6,000 meters to an altitude of 4,500 meters. It fires 120 shots per minute.
