MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces destroyed eight rockets of the Ukrainian army’s Czech-made Vampire multiple launch rocket system over the Belgorod Region, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Saturday.

"At about 8:00 a.m. Moscow time [5:00 a.m. GMT] on March 16, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack against facilities on Russian territory using an RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was foiled," the ministry said in a statement.

Alert air defense forces destroyed eight Vampire rockets over the Belgorod Region, it said.
