Russia should achieve new level of equipping armed forces — Putin

MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Russia needs to achieve a qualitatively new level of equipping the armed forces but with the reasonable allocation of resources, President Vladimir Putin said in the State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.
"It is important to increase the pace in solving social, demographic, infrastructural and other tasks and at the same time achieve the qualitatively new level of equipping the army and the navy," Putin said. The head of state paid attention in this context to the need of "allocating resources as reasonably as possible and build up the efficient economy of the armed forces."
